Pamela Field Binder

Pamela Field Binder

My husband, Chuck, of 37 years this August, retired this past April as a Federal Magistrate Judge for 30 years. He now follows his passions: flying (he volunteers for Wings of Mercy, East Michigan);  volunteering on two committees at our local airport and sailing.

This summer we both are taking glider lessons. He hopes to earn his private glider license and I just want to learn how to land the glider !

I am a retired Health Educator; Public Relations Director and Fund Raiser and volunteer extrodenaire. I continue to be a student of: golf; watercolor & acrylic painting; gourmet cooking & occasionally pack my bags for travel.

As I write this I am planning a vacation with our oldest daughter (Kate, 29, with 2 degrees from Western Michigan University) to zip line  and canoe the Hocking River, in Ohio. It's her Master Degree celebration even though she has moved on to study for her PhD in Psychology with emphasis on Sustainability.

Our youngest daughter (Carolyn, 27, graduate from WMU also) is the Marketing Specialist for a growing Chiropractor practice in Kalamazoo. She still participates in sports broadcasting, primarily on television.

Both of our daughters live in Kalamazoo, Michigan about a three hour drive from Bay City, where they were born and raised.

43 years ago I moved from sunny Southern California for greener pastures in the midwest. (At least in the summer months).  The state continues to capture my fascination with its changing seasons; all the water that surrounds the state and its beauty. Stop by for a visit and I'll be glad to share some of these wonders with you.
